What is Bookdle?
Your goal is NOT to wait for the full cover to appear—it's to survive the gauntlet of partial reveals and name the book as early as possible before the image gives everything away. Bookdle starts you with a tiny mysterious corner or detail from a famous (or not-so-famous) book cover. Each incorrect guess or skip unlocks a larger portion, slowly exposing colors, artwork, typography, and design elements that betray the title.
Why play? Because nothing feels more satisfying than shouting the title on attempt 2 when only 20% of the cover is visible—or more humbling than needing all 6 guesses on a book you definitely own. It's perfect for avid readers who want to turn their bookshelf knowledge into daily competitive fun and rediscover classics through their iconic jackets.

Bookdle Game Rules
- Bookdle gives you 6 attempts to guess the daily book title from its cover image. You start with a very small cropped section of the cover. After each incorrect guess (or skip), a larger portion of the cover is revealed permanently. Correct guess ends the round with your score based on how early you identified it. Skips are allowed but they still consume an attempt and reveal more of the image.
- The real trap is the progressive reveal: the more you see, the easier it becomes, but the lower your potential bragging rights for solving it quickly. There's an auto-suggest search for book titles as you type, making spelling less of an issue but recognition everything.

Strategy & Tips
- Train your eye on book cover trends by genre—fantasy often uses dramatic illustrations, literary fiction favors minimalism, and classics have distinctive vintage designs. Focus on typography, color palettes, and recurring motifs rather than waiting for obvious title text. Early guesses pay off big for high scores, so trust your gut on partial reveals. Play daily to build a mental library of iconic covers, and don't hesitate to skip once if a guess feels completely off. Every partial reveal is a clue—use it wisely and you'll soon be solving Bookdle in record time.
